Toda Corp. in West Africa
Toda Corporation has about 30 years of history in West Africa.
Starting with the Vocational Training Center in Dakar, the capital city of the Republic of Senegal in 1983, we have constructed a total of 4,952 classrooms in seven countries, the Republic of Senegal, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Niger, and the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, under Japanese government ODA.
In addition to constructing the Embassy of Japan in Senegal, we have contributed to the development of education and medical care in the West African region by the "Project for Expansion of Hospitals at Cocody University" in the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, the "Project for Improvement of Maternal and Child Hospitals at Laguine" in the Republic of Benin and constructing the "Teacher Training School" in the Republic of Senegal.
